Man, how long has it been? July?! Wow, sorry guys. I’ve been leaving you hanging for a while, it seems. I know how much you guys love seeing what stupid shit I have to say!
Anyhoo, Hog Hunt has been running along nice and smooth now, though that might soon change. I guess sometimes I forget to realize that Lucy is still in it’s early years, and as such, I’m not as fully efficient as I could be. Speaking of which, I want to mention that after Hog Hunt wraps, I will begin working on three black-and-white filler stories, which I’m dubbing the “Gaiden” series. They’ll concentrate on events that took place before Order of the Scale, and unveil some history on our growing cast. There shouldn’t be too big a pause between stories this time around, and while I’m doing these, I’ll also be working on the next big story. It’ll be a good one!
I hope you enjoyed my first Lucy adventure. It’s sure been quite an experience for me! If you have any comments or critique, you’re welcome to send me an email!
As I prepare the next story, I am sad to announce that I must once again go on hiatus, during which time, I will also make changes to the site. I will definitely have something to fill the void in the short future, so stay tuned, and thank you for reading!
Self-doubt is a thing that plagues many artists’ minds. While I think being skeptical of your own work or motives can be a sort of virtue, it’s never a good thing to doubt yourself, yet sometimes even I can’t help but fall victim to it. But the past couple days have been a re-assuring to me, due to the support and kind words from you guys. So I wanna say thanks again.
So, my first story will be drawing to a close soon. While I personally have a few problems with what I’ve done, I think it serves as a good introduction to Lucy and her world. Wasn’t really Lucy’s life story here, but I think it was best to see her in action first before anything. The next story will touch a bit more on her history, though! Speaking of which, I want to note that the site will go on hiatus again while I work on the next story and actually have a buffer going this time. While I’m doing that, I hope to have some filler posted with a guest artist.
Anyhoo, this month’s wallpaper set comes from Eric Toner! Enjoy!
EDIT: I just want to make a quick note that if you want to give any critique or thoughts about the comic so far, feel free to email me.
I’ve never been the sort for online journals and such, but It’s high time I moved that last post from the front page, so I’ll update you guys a tad on what’s going on.
So, due to the fact that I’ve ran out of buffer, updates to the comic have been pretty much sporadic and far between at this point. I have to say I’m pretty proud of myself, though. This IS the furthest I’ve ever gone with a comic, and people who’ve known me for a while can attest to this. That should be a testament to my dedication, at least. In any case, once Order of the Scale has finished, I will go into yet another hiatus in order to start work on my next story arc, which I can tell you now that I can’t wait to do, mainly to further develop the character of Glenda, who has appeared in only three pages as of now.
Also, though I’ve never explicitly said that I’ll be posting new wallpaper sets bi-monthly, complications prevented me from getting a new set ready in time for May, so this month Noxi provides us with another awesome wallpaper set. Enjoy!
I’ll probably set up a page for these soon…
